De La Rue is looking for an experienced, high calibre commercial solicitor to join their well-established legal team based in Basingstoke.

This position will report to the Commercial Legal Director and will work closely with the existing legal team to provide legal advice with a high degree of autonomy at all levels throughout the Group

Detailed Job Description

Responsibilities Include:

• Advising on, drafting, reviewing and negotiating a diverse range of agreements and documents (including customer contracts and licensing and sub-contractor/supplier agreements) across all areas of De La Rue globally.
• Working closely with commercial and sales teams.
• Advising on aspects of corporate and company law as necessary; working with other professionals within the Group as required to co-ordinate advice across functions.
• Assisting and advising in relation to existing and possible future joint ventures and partnering arrangements as the Company seeks to consolidate its position in existing markets and leverage opportunities to break into new markets.

Candidate's Profile

Requirements:

• Qualified solicitor with relevant post qualification experience
• Extensive experience in drafting & negotiation a wide range of complex commercial contracts with a high degree of independence.
• Experience of advising in and concluding professional services, large government or central bank contracts in an international environment.
• Experience of working in an in-house environment is desirable.
• Experience of advising on international / cross border transactions.
• Confident, can do person, willing and able to take ownership of a varying workload.
• Ability to travel within the UK and globally is a requirement for the role.
