We are recruiting for one of the world’s leading global law firms. This Firm has offices in over 40 countries and employs approximately 4000 lawyers.
The firm is seeking a Revenue Controller to join them on a permanent basis. This person will work within the Finance and Accounting department, managing a client revenue function in coordinating assignments, budgeting, billing and reporting.
Responsibilities
Influence Partners and local billing teams via regular communication, to achieve agreed billing cycle deadlines
Ensure compliance with billing processes and procedures
Ensure all WIP balances are addressed
Deliver decisive analysis and advice on billings, WIP, AR and Client account
Manage compliance audits to ensure the clients Terms of Engagement are adhered to
Keep schedules up to date; report on status when required
Attend regular internal meetings to discuss lock-up and make recommendations for action
Ensure all matters billing frequency are correct, and make amendments where applicable
Check invoices and assist in identifying the causes of inaccuracy
Lead client meetings in the areas of lock-up, ensuring the billing cycle is efficiently coordinated between clients and the Firm
Be the first point of contact for the practice, business and clients on all financial issues in London
Be accountable for the management of billing and e-billing, for a portfolio of clients
Take the lead in sending out monthly bills
Keep records of bills sent directly to clients
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have solid experience within Revenue Control and Billing, gained in a law firm
Significant knowledge of SAP
Significant knowledge of electronic billing systems
Experience in advising senior leadership of key issues
Advanced Excel skills
An energetic, forward-thinking individual
An individual with sound technical skills, good judgement and strong operational focus
