Your new company
One of the world's leading oil & gas companies. This company has a presence in over 70 countries worldwide and operates across areas including petrochemicals, lubricants, oil & gas and alternative energy. To start no later than early January, t his particular role sits within the aviation division of the business and will run for a period of 8-12 months with the potential to be made permanent.
Your new role
With an international focus, you will be responsible for providing commercially focused and cost-effective legal advice on a range of commercial and regulatory matters. You will draft and negotiate a variety of contracts including supply & purchase agreements, partnership agreements and licensing agreements. You will provide advice and compliance support on issues such as competition law, anti-bribery and corruption and trade sanctions. You will also work collaboratively with lawyers and leadership across the wider downstream team on a number of issues both in the UK and further afield. Occasional travel required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister with experience working at a mid-senior level within an in-house setting. Previous exposure to the oil & gas sector is preferable but not essential. You will be have good knowledge of UK law and international transactional exposure with strong analytical communication skills. In addition, you will demonstrate sound commercial awareness and have a proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced and pressurised situations.
