Commercial Legal Counsel (fixed term contract, start date asap)

Our client, (recently acquired by a leading worldwide company that is dedicated to serving the global printing and packaging industries), is an innovator in Digital printing technology, Label and Packaging printing applications, Document and Commercial printing applications and Security printing applications. They are looking to hire a Commercial Legal Counsel on a fixed term contract a range of commercial agreements, including: sales agreements; non-disclosure & confidentiality agreements; agreements for strategic partnerships; global distribution agreements; supply and services agreements. Also providing ad hoc advice on general commercial law and supporting the Operations and Sales teams on matters relating to contracting, customer issues, complaints and technical issues.

Requirements

• Fully qualified lawyer in any European jurisdiction (preferably a Dutch law degree)
• At least 5 years post-qualified legal experience as an in- house legal counsel
• Having experience of supporting a sales team or working in a sales environment essential.
• Excellent written and oral skills that include the ability to draft and negotiate contracts in English. Fluency in another European language, e.g Dutch is a plus, but not required.
• Strong written and verbal expression skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to act as a business partner

• A "can do" mentality and positive attitude
• Willing to take on responsibility and to make things happen, but also to say "stop" when needed
• Ability to handle pressure and manage time effectively in a fast paced environment
• Self-motivated, flexible person who can work independently as well as in a team and is willing to deliver a high level of quality and service
• High degree of independence, initiative and decisiveness.
