My client are looking to recruit a residential property lawyer to undertake a compliance role. Lawyers with significant experience in residential property and compliance or risk management would be ideal applicants.

An experienced property lawyer (solicitor, licensed conveyancer or legal executive) is now being recruited for within our vibrant, ambitious firm to work in a non-fee earning role.

As the compliance officer, your responsibilities will include the following:

To demonstrate a working knowledge of the regulatory Overriding Principles and Code of Conduct with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers
Dealing with lender panel applications
Resolution of escalated serious complaints
Negligence claims
Reporting any claims to insurers
Corresponding with legal ombudsman
File audits
Recommending changes to internal processes to improve compliance
Liaising with our training manager
Preparation of compliance updates and internal policies

This is a great opportunity for an experienced residential property lawyer to move away from a fee earning role into an operational one focused on compliance and risk management within a volume conveyancing environment. Previous compliance experience is essential.
