Employment Solicitor

My client, an ambitious and recognisable law firm, is seeking to hire an Employment Solicitor to join its experienced and highly regarded employment team. Joining this team will provide the successful candidate with exposure to a broad range of high quality work. The firm’s clients include listed businesses, SMEs and high profile individuals. The firm is located within an hour of central London. This role will be of interest to individuals seeking an excellent work life balance, with potential scope to work part time.

Key responsibilities include:

• The provision of additional assistance to the more senior members of the team by supporting them with their varied caseloads;
• Supporting and leading client meetings;
• Managing a Tribunal caseload for the entirety of its duration, whilst using project management software, which will include document analysis and creation;
• Drafting ET1s and ET3s; negotiating settlements when appropriate; taking and drafting witness statements; attending hearings and carrying out advocacy when necessary;
• Ensuring strong links are developed with other teams in the firm to encourage the cross-referral of work amongst different teams;
• Business development activities, including attending networking events, in-house seminars, and preparing materials for publications;
• Presenting at seminars on Employment Law and HR topics.

The successful candidate will:

• Have one or more year’s post-qualification experience in Employment law;
• Be able to manage a caseload that encompasses a broad range of employment law enquiries;
• Be capable of managing multiple tasks without constant supervision, with the ability to work under pressure;
• Help to facilitate the continued development of the Employment team’s brand;
• Be hardworking, and committed, with a strong work ethic and a good eye for detail.
