One of the largest global stock exchanges is looking for an experienced Debt Capital Markets lawyer to manage the development and launching of a new primary debt market offering. In this role, you would manage a small team and report directly to the Head of the Primary Market and AIM team.

Day to day tasks would involve:

  • Manage the debt regulation workflow.
  • Contributing to products launches including developing regulatory models and rule books.
  • Responsibility for reviewing and arranging the approval of admission documentation, final terms, circulars etc.
  • Stakeholder management and working with the business team in promoting the market.
  • Consideration of issuers obligations under the A&DS rules and thematic work in relation to the Exchange’s Primary Markets work, and know-how monitoring (eg IOSCO, ESMA and FCA consultations).
  • Project work as required, such as advising on the regulatory impact of product development within the Exchange and working with internal teams on regulatory strategy and public affairs matters.

The ideal candidate will be a debt market specialist with at least 4 years’ PQE and experience working for a regulator or Exchange or in a DCM team in a law firm or investment bank. Good knowledge of the Prospectus Directive and Transparency Directive would be helpful as well as a good level of understanding of the financial services landscape and regulation and an interest in regulation.
