A Legal 500 Medical Law team are looking to hire a Medical Negligence Associate Solicitor into their dedicated Medical Negligence division in the West Midlands.

About the role of Medical Negligence Associate Solicitor

Owing to continual growth, the Personal Injury department of this National Law Firm, is looking to make a key hire in recruiting a Medical Negligence Associate Solicitor in to the team in Birmingham.

The dedicated and well respected Medical Negligence team is renowned for handling claims for people who have been ill or who have suffered injury bowing to substandard care in any medical related situation.

Varied work means those applying for the role of Medical Negligence Associate Solicitor should have experience in the following areas:

  • birth injury
  • brain & spinal injury
  • negligent surgery
  • fatal accidents
  • inquest representation
  • delays in diagnosis
  • inappropriate treatment

The Medical Negligence Associate Solicitor will handle their own caseload from initial enquiry, investigation through to litigation on mid level matters. At the same time the Medical Negligence Associate Solicitor will also assist senior members of the team on high value/catastrophic injury cases.

You will have the following:

  • 5+ years PQE (a guide only)
  • Ideally have gained your experience dealing with Claimant matters
  • Strong business development skills and the passion to network to draw more work to the firm
  • Existing Midlands contacts
  • Work as a team player and independently
  • UK qualified solicitor
  • Good / strong communication skills and academics
