Contracts Lawyer

Contracts Lawyer required to join a local authority based in London for an initial 3 month period with the view of extension thereafter.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Contracts Lawyer to undertake varied work within a large local authority.

The successful candidate will take on a busy caseload of contracts and procurement work. This work will be all-encompassing, and will give the Contract Lawyer exposure to the full range of local authority contracts and ad-hoc contracts matters. This will involve handling contracts which range from small to high value. Candidates must have EU procurement experience due to the complexity of such contracts in order to thrive in this role. There will also be the opportunity to undertake project work.

The ideal Contracts Lawyer will have hands-on experience of working for a local authority previously, although this is not essential and candidates with a background in private practice are encouraged to apply. This local authority is at the forefront of public sector and offers a wide range of work across the shared service with a variety of clients.

Our client is happy to accommodate the successful candidate a level of flexibility with working hours. The Council is situated within walking distance from excellent transport links, making it an easily commutable location. It is also located within close proximity to shops, restaurants and other local amenities.
