Our client is a regional leading commercial law firm who have a strong presence in the South East and Kent.
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Manager to lead the firm’s Legal Professional Team who is a centralised provider of Paralegal and legal admin services within residential conveyancing to both their internal legal teams and external client. This will suit a licensed conveyancer, CILEX or Solicitor with strong management experience.
The Role
Reporting to the Centralised Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day
management of a large, diverse team. Monitoring and driving quality of service, expanding the
services offered by the team and developing further business/collaboration opportunities with both
internal and external clients. You must be committed to ensuring the LPT consistently delivers a high quality and efficient service that minimises costs while maximising the benefits for its internal
and external clients.
Main duties:
• Delivering a quality service to clients
• Agreeing Service Level Agreements and Pricing Strategies with clients
• Preparing Business and Development plans
• Working with the relevant partners, fee-earners and others, both internally and externally
• Working with fee earners to answer any technical questions raised by the team;
• Training and creating development plans for team members
• Coordination of precedents
• Assisting with the management of one off projects
• Creating and maintaining reports, databases and extranets as required by any client relationship manager and
• Business Development and Marketing (with relevant partners and fee-earners) of the various services offered by LPT
The Candidate
• At least 5 years’ recent experience of working as a qualified fee earner within a legal environment
• You will either be a Licensed Conveyancer, CILEX or qualified Solicitor
• A high level of understanding of residential property transactions and procedures
• Hands on experience of computerised conveyancing methods
• High level of IT competence
• Accustomed to without close supervision
• Proven experience of managing a team and working in a successful team environment
