A new Residential Property Solicitor vacancy has become available to work for a well-established law firm based in Manchester city centre.

The office’s location offers excellent public transport links to all North-West locations.

There are over 150 people working within the firm, and it is now looking to expand its Residential Property department. The company has been nominated for various awards and is on the Top Tier Legal 500.

The client’s residential property solicitors cover a range of specialist areas of the law, including buying a newbuild property, purchasing and selling property, re-mortgaging, right-to-buy from local authorities, and tenancy agreements.

Key Responsibilities:    

  • You will work closely with other experienced residential property solicitors
  • Perform fee-earning work accurately, reliably, and in accordance with the firm’s quality and risk management procedures
  • You will be responsible for handling a busy caseload of freehold and leasehold residential property transactions, which include sales, purchases and re-mortgages, and lease extensions
  • Business development to help grow the department
  • Maintain and nurture an appropriate network of contacts and referrers
  • Endeavour to promote the firm during your professional and personal life

Ideal Fit:

  • You will be a qualified residential property solicitor with upwards of two years’ PQE
  • Mature, with the self-confidence and personality to work closely and effectively at all levels
  • A strong communicator with excellent relationship skills who can deliver results
  • Have the ability and personality to work closely with the senior management and work colleagues
  • Have a residential property solicitor background in all sectors, including purchasing newbuild property, buying and selling property, right-to-buy from local authorities, re-mortgages, and tenancy agreements
  • Be used to working within an established law firm or be self-employed, having come from a private practice with a diverse sector property experience
  • Have a proven track record in relation to business development capabilities
