A law firm based in Lincoln is looking to hire a commercial property solicitor to join its team.

Client Details

This is a private practice based in Lincoln. The firm is well-established and has a loyal client base, with a lot of repeat work.

Description

If you're a commercial property solicitor based around the Lincolnshire area, then your team will undoubtedly be very busy and you will probably appreciate that most other teams in the local area are busy too (and have probably been recruiting at some point over the last year).

This firm is no different. Their real estate team remains extremely busy despite any overall market concerns over Brexit. But the team being extremely busy doesn't have to mean that you will lose your work/life balance. This team is an established team with a good structure and they are large enough to be able to split workloads appropriately, so that everybody is busy but comfortably busy.

You'll be working alongside a Partner but also a mix of juniors and mid-level solicitors too. So if you are a junior solicitor yourself, you'll have a mix of support and development as well as the autonomy to work on your own matters with clients.

The team has some quality real estate work, including corporate support work - the team work very closely with the firm's Corporate team (who are also busy).

The firm also has a very good culture. They are not a huge corporate firm so you won't have the type of culture that you might associate with that type of firm. The quality of work and clients is excellent and they have no concerns around levels of workload. In fact, the team has never been busier and there is a lot of repeat work coming through from their local client base.

The type of work you would get involved with would be a mixed bag: landlord & tenant, lease work, some development work, acquisitions and disposals and corporate support work. If you have a particular interest in an area or sector then the team will be very supportive to help you focus on this area and get you involved in this type of work and any networking opportunities. Equally, if you are at the stage of your career where you'd like a mixed caseload and don't want to be pigeonholed in a niche property area, then the team are happy with this.

Profile

Ideally you will have had at least 6 months' experience in Real Estate either as a qualified solicitor or as part of your training contract. The team is happy to look at candidates with any level of PQE. If you have only had a bit of commercial property experience but have a genuine interest in the area (perhaps you did an advanced module in Commercial Property during your LPC), then this might be something that the team would consider looking at.
