General Counsel (Receivables/Trade/Equipment Finance)

This significant US financial operates across trade, receivables, equipment, real estate and mezzanine financing with a considerable product suite.  Recent growth and success has led to a desire to appoint a first time General Counsel to sit within the London office, reporting to the Global GC in the USA.

Working closely with the UK Management Committee, including the CEO, you will manage a small team of lawyers and be responsible for all legal risk matters associated with the business including a significant amount of transactional work in the Trade, Receivables and Equipment financing areas and a smaller amount of work in real estate and mezzanine finance.

A senior lawyer with significant exposure to trade, receivables or equipment financing work, you will be keen to operate in a key role within a growing business and happy both to be involved in the strategic growth of the business and to roll your sleeves up on transactions.

The successful candidate is likely to have 10+ years' PQE and have had managerial responsibility in their career to date.  This may be a senior in-house lawyer or Partner from a law firm.  In return, they offer a generous package in both fixed and variable compensation terms and an opportunity to help to steer and grow a thriving business.
