Duncan Lewis, a progressive law firm with offices throughout England and Wales currently have an opening for experienced Criminal Appeals solicitors & Caseworkers across a number of their offices.

A highly regarded Chambers & Legal 500 listed national practice seeks to expand their thriving Criminal department with the recruitment solicitors who are specialists in Criminal Appeals work.

With over 700 employees and consultants, the company is LEXCEL accredited and takes pride in being the first law firm to achieve GOLD status in Investors in People.

Essential requirements for these roles:

You will have an excellent background in criminal law with relevant, practical experience, strong advocacy skills and a determination to represent your clients to the very best of your ability. With such a wide range of matters and with regular instruction in matters progressing through the Appeals system this is a role that offers considerable scope for an ambitious lawyer.


You will: -

Be very well organised with great time management skills;
Possess great client care and communication skills at all levels;
Have experience of publicly- funded criminal law work;

You will be a professional with a pro-active approach, have excellent client care skills and the ability to successfully market the Company and generate new business.

The ability to manage and supervise trainees and caseworkers will be an advantage.

Police Station Accreditation or Duty Solicitor Status would be an advantage but is not mandatory. If you wish to progress to gain Duty Solicitor Status or police station accreditation, support will be provided.


An excellent salary package is on offer. It is a requirement that candidates must have a clean, valid Practising Certificate at the time of applying.
