Corporate Associate - Maternity Cover

My client is a highly regarded West End law firm with an impressive portfolio of international and national clients. The firm is looking for an Associate with 8+ years PQE*  of experience of Corporate law gained within City practices to join the Corporate department in the new year to cover a maternity leave of six months, with the potential to extend. 

The firm’s Corporate department provides advice on a broad spectrum of corporate matters such as joint ventures, public company law, mergers & acquisitions, strategic investments and in particular, property finance matters. 

The ideal candidate will operate with a large degree of autonomy whilst working alongside partners to deliver a seamless service to the firm’s clients and will assist with the development and the promotion of the department and the firm. The ideal candidate will also have the following attributes: 

•    Experience and knowledge of a broad range of Corporate transactions. 
•    Excellent technical ability gained through prior experience within leading City/US/national/Regional firms.
•    A stellar academic background
•    Excellent client relationship skills
•    Be a logical thinker with the ability to accurately analyse complex legal and factual issues
•    Strong drafting, written and oral presentation skills. 
•    Be available at short notice
