IN-HOUSE COUNSEL 2yrs+

Our highly respected client operates in the pharmaceutical sector and is seeking a UK qualified lawyer with at least 2yrs PQE to join their small in-house legal team based in Central London. This is a broad based role in a well balance working environment that would suit an adaptable generalist lawyer with an interest in the pharmaceuticals sector.

Reporting to the Legal Director, you will work as the second member of the legal team and provide wide-ranging advice covering all areas of their activities. This will include advising on matters such as: commercial contracts; data protection; public law; competition; IP; dispute management; monitoring/advising on legislative developments and providing Company Secretarial support. You will also have significant responsibilities for advising on and further developing internal company policies, procedures and generally advising on company compliance issues, so you should have some experience in this area.

Practical, flexible and commercially minded, you will ideally already have spent time working as an in-house lawyer. Some familiarity with the workings of the UK pharmaceutical markets would be advantageous as would experience of advising on/developing general company compliance policies/procedures and experience supporting on company secretarial matters. Well-developed interpersonal skills will also be important as the role will involve interfacing on a regular basis with key stakeholders throughout the industry.

In addition to a wide variety of work in what is a very well-balanced working environment, our client is offering a salary that is expected to be up to £70k plus bonus and a range of fringe benefits.
