You will be joining a first class and market leading commercial and regulatory team which is working at the forefront of developing new models of care and advising at both strategic and operational levels on the reshaping of NHS contracting and provision. While this position is focused on supporting health clients on commercial matters there is potentially scope to work and develop across the range of skills and clients groups.

About the Role
You will be working from a Bristol base supporting the existing local team and the national commercial team focusing on delivery of prompt, first class services to the public and private sector clients of the firm.

Responsibilities will include:

• Advising in connection with all aspects of commercial transactional work including exercise of powers, related constitutional issues, public procurement (strategic advice supported by sector experts) contract design; set up and use of framework Agreements and in connection with all types of contracts for the purchase of goods and services.
• Understanding of and ability to advise on the implementation of relevant NHS Policy and relevant Regulatory and other Guidance as it applies to the implementation of new models of care and the provision and commissioning of healthcare
• Able to take responsibility for own matters and to work together with the team (locally and Nationally) on larger matters and the development of client relationships.
• Playing an active role in marketing to and developing existing and new clients if required.

About You
You will be a NQ - 5 PQE solicitor with a keen interest and knowledge of the Health Sector who is able to:

* demonstrate a relevant skills base and experience of transactional and general commercial skills, ideally with some experience of working with NHS clients
* demonstrate, in providing commercial advice, a broad range of knowledge and technical competence;
* demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness in dealing with client matters;
* understand and adopt the client's commercial perspective rather than an excessively legal approach;
* be a confident communicator with an ability to develop relationships, undertake client marketing and influence at all levels within client organisations;
