PARALEGAL MANAGER

As the paralegal manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management of the paralegal team. The successful candidate will also be responsible for further developing the offering, and overall process efficiency provided by the Paralegal resource. You will also be responsible for providing guidance and management to the Senior Paralegals.

As the paralegal manager, key responsibilities of your role will be (but not limited to):

  • Day to day line management of the paralegal team, including managing daily workloads of paralegals and senior paralegals.
  • Conducting appraisals for paralegals; being a point of contact for any queries and manage each paralegals time sheet, holiday request etc.
  • Identify and develop strategic initiatives to enhance the support of the paralegal team.
  • Ensure effective communication between the legal teams and the paralegals on all paralegal tasks and manage all deadlines.
  • Design and take ownership over a formal paralegal training programme.
  • Be involved in paralegal recruitment and liaising with legal teams regarding additional resource needed.
  • Responsibility for document management and storage.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated (2.1 and above); and have a minimum of five years' experience in managing a team of paralegals within private practice. If you have yet to work in a purely management focused role but would like a step up, Senior paralegals who have supervised more junior members of the team may also be considered. You MUST have a proven track record of people management. You will be a strong communicator who develops strong relationships within a team and be creative about implementing new strategies to drive efficiency.
