Senior Competition Lawyer

This is a great opportunity for an experienced senior competition lawyer to join a prominent regulator in a management position in London. This role will include generally assisting the Head of the Department, leading projects such as investigations into complaints and providing a high degree of strategic insight and expertise on regulation and competition law.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a team of circa 5 lawyers
• Lead the delivery of high quality legal advice and analysis relevant to the work of the regulator
• Manage legal risk
• Work in collaboration with the policy and communications departments
• Accountability for the quality and robustness of all legal aspects arising out of projects, including case work, policy development and guidance

Your Key Skills:

As the Senior Competition Lawyer you will have at least 8 years experience involving anti-trust, competition and regulatory law and good knowledge of public law. A different level of experience will be considered if you meet the requisite standards. You will have experience of leadership and people management and an ability to shape and drive the strategic direction of the regulator.
