Head Of Legal

I am currently working with a highly regarded educational institution who are seeking to recruit a new Head of Legal. The role will be based in Greater London and the candidate will be expected to have numerous years experience of leading a team.

The main responsibilities for this role will be;

• Advising on any legal matters and ensuring the effective management of any potential risk
• Manage all external counsel and ensure effective cost management
• Representing the institution with regards to all contracts negotiations or legal proceedings
• Provide expert advice on all employment law matters
• Keeping abreast of any changes in regulatory or statutory matters that may affect the institution

The ideal candidate will have;

• A qualified solicitor in England and Wales
• At least 6 years PQE
• Preferably experience within Higher Education or the public sector
• A strong knowledge of employment law is desired.
