In-House Solicitor/Legal Counsel - Lancashire.
The Client
Our Client is a well established and successful business, with a number of niche operations, based in Lancashire. They are seeking an experienced In House Solicitor/Legal Counsel to join them as the Sole In House Solicitor/Legal Counsel.
The Role
As the sole In House Solicitor/Legal Counsel you will be responsible for all legal matters across the business, working very closely with the Managing Director and advising the management team on a range of legal, commercial and contractual matters.
You will advise on all Employment Law matters, including policies and procedures, draft and review contracts of employment and assist HR employment law issues.
You will draft and review commercial contracts and agreements, including distribution agreements and agency agreements, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and reducing the companies exposure whilst mitigating risk.
You will also be responsible for regulatory issues including maintaining trade mark applications.
The successful candidate will also, when necessary manage relationships with external legal providers. If you are able to handle any Commercial or Employment Litigation matters that arise then this would be favourable.
Suitable Applicants
This role would suit an experienced In House Solicitor/Legal Counsel with circa 7 - 10 years experience.
You must have proven In House experience from a blue chip company and be confident in providing legal advice in a prompt and concise manner on a whole range of issues. You must have excellent communication skills and a strong personality.
The salary on offer for the role is circa £65,000 to £75,000.
