Team Leader - Residential Conveyancing

Responsible for supervising and providing guidance for a team of Property Lawyers, you will have 5 years PQE or equivalent experience, with a track record of helping to motivate and achieve individual and team targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Lawyers
• Inspecting daily reports to ensure the team is progressing their caseload
• Accountability for ensuring Lawyers meet targets (including exchanges and customer service)
• Actively engaging and observing the team at all times, interjecting where appropriate and providing feedback in real time to achieve effective results
• Carrying out monthly appraisals
• First point of escalation for Lawyers .
• Assisting Legal Directors in development of internal processes and procedures when required
• Providing technical support and general advice to Lawyers .Responsibility for new starters initial inductions to all systems, areas and processes in order to carry out their roles
• Supervision of the Lawyers files to ensure that suitable knowledge is shown and technical ability is developed

Knowledge and Skills:

• Have experience of managing a full and varied caseload of Sale, Purchase, Freehold and Leasehold, Remortgage and Transfer of Equity matters, including Shared Ownership, New Build and Lease Extensions
• Excellent communication skills and able to coach and mentor others
• An understanding of process driven working methods
