THE ROLE
The Construction team is part of the Real Estate department and is recommended by the leading independent legal directories.
The department handles a broad range of real estate work and includes teams dedicated to dispute resolution, construction, planning and environmental. The main areas of expertise are:
* Development
* Investment
* Corporate occupiers (including retail/office/industrial)
* Banking
Clients include mid-tier businesses (whether quoted or owner-managed), household name PLCs and other major international groups.
A lawyer now is sought to join the construction team to deal primarily with non-contentious work on a maternity leave cover basis.
The work will involve advising on the broad range of construction documents, both standard forms and bespoke agreements for the real estate clients.
Developments are various and include;
* industrial development (last year a 350,000sqft warehouse)
* health sector development - includes multiple care home and primary care facility developments
* a variety of properties for key clients
* new build and fit out projects for household retail clients

* A variety of projects in the transport and infrastructure areas.
ABOUT YOU
A construction solicitor who is available at relatively short notice to provide maternity cover.
Candidates should have good interpersonal skills, strong academics and high quality experience - typically with a major City or leading national/regional practice.
First-class support and learning and development opportunities are provided and early responsibility is offered, including an expectation that all team members run appropriate cases with minimum supervision.
