Shipping Arbitration Counsel
Our client is a global commodities firm active in a variety of sectors. They have a well-knit legal team that exclusively deals with shipping disputes and they are looking for a shipping arbitration counsel to join them in Geneva. There is a real opportunity here for a shipping disputes lawyer to join a household name, and live and work in Geneva, Switzerland.
The successful candidate will advise on a myriad of complex shipping disputes matters. This individual will advise on e.g. charterparty and freight contract disputes, assist the shipping and trading desks with daily queries, advise vessel operators across the globe, present arbitration cases before tribunals, liaise with insurers and P&I Clubs, and much more.
Candidates should ideally be common law qualified and have at least three years of post qualification experience, either in private practice or in-house with a P&I Club, trading house or shipping company. You should be technically astute and have solid shipping litigation experience. You should be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent English language skills are essential, French language would be a plus.
