Adult Social Care Locum

An established Local Authority in the East Midlands is currently recruiting for an Adult Social Care Locum to work on a locum basis for an advised period of 3-6 months, with a high possibility of extension.

Applications will be considered from experienced Solicitors, Barristers or Legal Executives with previous Adult Social Care experience within a Local Authority.

Day to day responsibilities include managing a full caseload and providing advice and support to the Local Authority and other public bodies with a focus on Court of Protection Matters

Alongside this work you will also be responsible for:

• High Court Deprivation of Liberty proceedings
• Judicial Reviews
• Social care debt matters
• Ordinary residence and Continuing Care matters
• Mental Health matters including admission, treatment and the appointment and displacement of nearest relatives under the Mental Health Act 1983

This role offers an attractive hourly rate of £35-£40ph per hour depending on experience.
