Our client is a well-regarded commercial organisation,ooking to hire a Commercial Lawyer for their legal team on a fixed-term, maternity cover contract.
Reporting to a Senior Solicitor, working as part of the larger legal team and acting as a business partner to the wider organisation; you will enjoy a varied role which will include, amongst other aspects:
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
- Transacting high-value tenders and procurement deals, consultancy and service contracts and technology agreements
- Handling construction contracts
- Dealing with matters regarding regulation
- Providing training to the business and updating senior management on changes to legislation
- Offering advice and support on disputes and litigation
To be considered for the role, you will be a lawyer with at least 1 year' PQE with a strong grounding in commercial contracts, construction and procurement. Some knowledge of NEC contracts would be advantageous.
A clear communicator, you will be able to get up to speed quickly and develop solid relationships with the business.
Living within easy commutable distance to the clients main office; you will be happy to commit to the role for at least 9 months.
