Full Time Employment Law Solicitor - Lincoln
THE ROLE
Our client has a vacancy in our very busy and highly regarded Employment Department for a Solicitor to support them on a full time basis. The successful Employment Lawyer will be dealing with a varied caseload. Advising on Employment Tribunal matters, unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, TUPE and settlement agreements and is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to assist in developing a growing department,
They have offices in Lincoln, Newark, Sleaford, Grantham, Boston and Spalding. The ability to work from all offices at times is essential so a full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes is necessary.
The main duties of the role will involve;
- Proactively undertaking and developing your own client caseload of business and individual clients;
- The employment Department is within the Commercial Department. The role will include assisting the Commercial Department in developing business clients;
- Achieving chargeable hours and fee income targets;
- Meeting all deadlines;
- Adhering to high client care and service standards, administrative requirements and Firm policies ensuring that LEXCEL high client care and business management standards are met.
- You will run your own caseload, including giving advice on all aspects of employment law, negotiating settlements, issuing and preparing for Employment Tribunal hearings and carrying out advocacy.
THE EMPLOYMENT LAWYER
They are seeking an experienced Employment Law Solicitor with 4 + years' post qualification experience of dealing with all aspects of employment on behalf of both employers and employees, but with the strategic goal of developing the business client base. With a strong track record in employment, you will have gained experience in advising on TUPE matters, discrimination, redundancy, unfair dismissal and settlement agreements.

- To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs.
- Exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner.
- To maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel of the firm.
- To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations.
- Assist and participate with training initiatives taken by the firm.
- Comply with the firm's Office Manual.
- Maintain client confidentiality and legal professional privilege.
- Actively promote (PR function) office relations with clients, their families, and possible new clients.
- Excellent IT and case management skills including word, excel and outlook.
Desirable:
- Ability to attract clients and referrals, with an emphasis on developing business clients.
- Cost awareness and meticulous ability to record & document.
- CRM knowledge (Proclaim preferred, although training will be given).
