Legal & Compliance Director

A well know Logistics company based in Berkshire is currently recruiting a Legal & Compliance Director for a period of 12 months. This role will report directly into the VP HR Director.

My client is looking for a proactive candidate that has the ability to respond quickly to a fast growing and exciting business.

Role Responsibilities:
*Negotiation of commercial contracts but within the UK and Globally
*Managing a varied caseload for both contentious and non-contentious work
*Managing litigation within the UK
*Responsibility for a team of 4 - junior lawyers and paralegals
*Legal and Compliance responsibility
*Drafting and rolling out global templates
*Providing advice to the UK HR team
*Managing external legal counsel

The successful candidate will be a UK qualified lawyer with comprehensive in-house commercial experience. You will have a good understanding of Data Protection and Compliance. Transport and logistics knowledge is desirable but not essential.
