In House - Finance Banking Lawyer - Investment Management - London - Senior Counsel - 7+pqe

Our client is an independent investment manager dealing with direct lending and private debt. Due to growth of the business, the UK legal team will expand and they are seeking to hire a senior UK qualified general banking lawyer for a broad London based role.

This is a collegiate team with plenty of scope for development, training and progression. This a great buy side opportunity and work will include transactional banking matters including leverage finance, trade finance and bond work, as well as fund structuring and investment products. You will have plenty of involvement with strategic projects, training and general commercial advisory work. You will be offered the chance to work directly with the origination team and investment managers as well as autonomously on key issues.The ideal candidate will either already be in-house seeking a generalist role role or most likely this will be a first move in-house for a general banking lawyer in a top law firm. You are likely to have at least 7 years' experience and you must be able to demonstrate an excitement and commitment to pursuing a career in-house.
This is a key strategic hire for the team at an important stage of the Investment Manager's development.
