In house employment lawyer

Our client is a blue chip business, with extensive operations across the UK team. The sizable, multi-disciplinary, in house legal team is well established and integrated into the business, offering a dedicated support to their internal clients at all levels of the organisation.

A strategic review is driving the significant expansion of this legal team, and has created a number of new roles. These will be based in Sheffield to best service the business partners. If you live in Leeds, Manchester, Derby or Nottingham, you'll be interested to note there are significant opportunities to work from home.

As part of this team expansion they are looking to hire 2 employment lawyers. The remit is broad but you could be delivering training programmes and guidance documents to upskill stakeholders on a range of employment law issues, advising relevant stakeholders and business management teams on employment law risks, supporting the application of the TUPE Regulations, outsourcing work where appropriate, but generally offering robust, clear and commercially focused legal advice specifically in the specialist area of employment law (including industrial relations). You'll probably need at least 2 years solid employment law experience to have gained the skills needed for this role.
