Our client is looking to recruit a Commercial Manager. The role should appeal to anyone living in the Manchester or Liverpool areas as the clients office is in the North West.

Our client is a leading UK hire provider for equipment and tools based in the North West who is looking to recruit a Commercial Manager.
Description
- Develop and manage the commercial team to ensure appropriate support is provided to Sales and Operations teams.
- Assist in the management of tender submissions and any subsequent contract negotiation, mobilisation and implementation.
- Ensure all agreements are carefully managed through their complete lifecycle and in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure all stakeholders understand and adhere to contractual obligations.
- Draft accurate contract documentation and agreements and ensure that financial aspects are clear to all parties.
- Management and ownership of key commercial processes, working closely with Sales, Finance, Operations and senior management.
- Attending client meetings as necessary to support the account management teams at renewal/implementation.
- Apply consistent commercial and financial principles to improve business performance and provide proactive contractual and commercial guidance to all stakeholders to balance legal/contractual risks, financial considerations, and service excellence.
- Work with the Commercial Director to prioritise major projects & initiatives within the business.
- Resolve commercial and contractual problems/disputes.
- Undertake additional duties and activities as required by the Commercial Director that contribute to business growth, enhanced margin and the adoption of best working practices
Profile
The candidate may be a solicitor who is happy to work as a commercial manager and report to the Commercial Director or a candidate who is already or has been a commercial manager.
- Financial and Commercial Acumen.
- Self-assured, reliable and able to demonstrate strong influencing and negotiation skills.
- Experience in contract/commercial management.
- Experience in dealing with clients' contracts and bids.
- Contract negotiation and drafting skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong customer service and quality focus.
- Good ability to work well and methodically in a demanding environment.
- Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively.
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop teams effectively.
- Experience of working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams across multiple divisions.
- Familiarity with standard contract forms and key principles.
- Demonstrable record of achievement in a pressurised change-orientated sales/service environment.
Previous experience in the Hire or related/other service industry.
Business, Law or related qualification to degree or equivalent level both of these would be desirable
