Sole Counsel

My client, an international Infrastructure and transport consulting firm, are currently seeking to hire their first In House Legal counsel.

The candidate will work alongside the senior management and be expected to offer sound commercial advise that will help the expansion of the firm.

Responsibilities for the role will include, but not be limited too;

• Advising and supporting client facing teams to ensure any terms of business are negotiated to the satisfaction of the firm
• Leading the negotiation of commercial contracts
• Advising the business on any corporate M&A issues that may arise
• Advise on any employment law matters that may arise
• Assist the executive management with any issues regarding data protection, risk management and compliance/policy issues
• Advise the business on any dispute/litigation matters to ensure they are resolved to the satisfaction of the firm.

The ideal candidate will be expected to have/be;

• A qualified solicitor in England and Wales
• A minimum of 10 years PQE ideally gained from both private practice and In House roles
• Highly experienced in commercial legal matters
• Experience of commercial disputes ideally with risk management experience
• Experience of engaging with senior management to advise upon strategic and commercial issues.
