Make the most of these crucial years of your post-qualification experience. Are you achieving each of the following goals in your current role?
* Gaining broad and high quality commercial property experience alongside rated experts
* Developing your client relationship skills with direct exposure to an impressive client list
* Positioning yourself perfectly for partnership prospects in the long term, as an integral part of a thriving and growing commercial real estate practice
If your present position falls short on any of these criteria, please do get in touch to discuss how this career move can remedy the issue.
My client has transformed its Commercial Property offering in recent years, raising its level to become as good as any in the local Derbyshire area. Acting for well-known real estate businesses, institutional investors, high profile hotel groups, and significant corporate occupiers, this is a broad and high end practice where you will encounter all manner of transactions. Recent work has included:
* large scale acquisitions and disposals for major funds;
* major site acquisitions and development in the retail sector;
* significant redevelopments in the transportation arena;
* property matters for important energy sector participants; and
* luxury hotel development and sales.
Working with a broad range of experienced Commercial Property partners, in a suitable lean team to give you plenty of hands on exposure, you will assume an increasingly lead role on more complex transactions as your experience progresses, and you will be entrusted with a key part to play in client maintenance/development.
Whereas other firms can feel like a "closed shop" in terms of partnership prospects, having had the same names at the top for years, and few promotions, the future is much brighter here. This practice is more dynamic, and as the team continues to build on its success, you will profit from genuine prospects for advancement.
The firm's meritocratic approach extends to its remuneration, too, as the bonus scheme pays out very well, with very good rewards for associates, and with incentives in place for ambitious associates who achieve success on the business development front.
