An opportunity has arisenwith a directories recognised Private Client practice in the West Midlands who are looking to hire an additional Solicitor in to their expanding Birmingham based team.
As part of this well respected team it is anticipated that you will gain exposure to a broad range of Private Client matters and engage in BD activities. The successful Private Client Solicitor will be rewarded with a competitive salary and excellent benefits, dependent on experience.
In this growth role you will gain exposure to the following workflows:
- Will drafting
- Estate administration, to include experience of completing inheritance tax returns and income tax, & Capital Gains Tax Returns and accounting
- Trust matters including drafting trust documentation for establishment and management
- Trust administration including dealing with ongoing accounting and taxation matters
- Court of protection applications
- Powers of attorney
- Handling own caseload of all private client matters with guidance and supervision from your Partner as required
- Providing general support to your Partner in developing the private client offering
- Assisting in the promotion of the private client practice with both clients and referrer contacts
Key requirements for the Private Client Solicitor:
You will be an established Private Client Solicitor familiar with the full ambit of private client work and a demonstrable passion for this area of specialisation. Given this role is Birmingham based, having worked in the West Midlands market would be of benefit in the role but is by no means a prerequisite.
You will be a qualified solicitor (UK or overseas equivalent) and it is anticipated that you will have a minimum of four years post qualification experience in estate administration, lasting powers of attorney and wills, but this does not preclude someone with more qualified experience from applying for the role.
You will be a proven team player with impressive interpersonal and communication skills and will bring a willingness to develop and expand your career expertise as part of this highly respected private client team.
