We are currently working with a well-known FTSE100 within the FMCG sector, in their search for a Senior Compliance/Regulatory Lawyer to join their established legal team, based in Berkshire.
As a newly-created position within their legal function and reporting directly into the Group Compliance Officer, you will ensure that product safety and compliance are achieved throughout the business.
Responsibilities
- Working with various key stakeholders across multiple business functions, products and markets, mitigating product safety and regulatory risk.
- Being the lead point of contact for legal/regulatory issues which include product recall, re-labelling, personal injury, prosecutions as well as dealing with any negative PR for the company & brand.
- Support and advise on the development, marketing and promotion of the company’s brands within the Healthcare sectors.
- Report on product safety issues affecting the business including potential criminal/civil liabilities for the company, Directors and employees.
- Support with the negotiation & drafting of contracts for clinical trials and consultancy agreements alongside the Safety/Regulatory/Clinical functions.
- Manage external Counsel in relation to high value commercial litigation.
Requirements
- UK qualified Lawyer or similar jurisdiction (top city/US firm is highly desirable)
- Likely to have 7+ years PQE
- Extensive experience on advising on product safety/compliance/contentious product safety
- Experience in pharmaceutical industries is highly desirable
- International experience
