Civil Litigation Fee Earner

Venn Group's specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Civil Litigation Legal Officer to join a Public Sector Legal Department in the West Midlands.

The contract is an attractive period of 6 months with a strong possibility of extension dependant on workload.

It is essential that applicants have experience of general litigation, property disputes and Civil Court processes.

Duties will include:

• Managing a varied case load of general civil litigation work
• Advising on a number of areas including property, debt recovery, insolvency and commercial contractual disputes
• Dealing with injunctions, statutory notices and enforcements of awards and judgements
• Issuing and investigating claims and defending counter claims.
• Progressing cases to trial and negotiating on behalf of the local authority
• Undertaking bankruptcy proceedings and enforcement when necessary

In return, our client is offering a rate of £15ph dependant on the candidates level of experience.
