Banking Solicitor

Solicitor with Banking experience required to join a world leading bank on a fixed term contract.

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a solicitor with banking experience to join their Banking Team on a 9 month fixed term contract.

Your new role
You will be providing core business support for retail and business product range to support the UK's Banking operations. You'll act as principle contact within Legal for product life cycle from innovation, development and delivery to specific product advice. It is expected that you'll provide concise and easily understandable legal advice on medium to complex subject matters, effectively manage legal risk reports in line with organisational and departmental requirements. You'll also contribute fully to the on-going success of the team and actively promote the reputation of the Legal Services across the Company.

What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience in a similar role will lead to your success. You'll have sound working knowledge of all aspects of regulated banking together with a thorough understanding of the retail and business banking, it's drivers, challenges and market practices. You will also be a qualified solicitor or barrister and have knowledge of the UK regulatory framework for financial products / services, an understanding of current regulatory issues, product innovation, FCA and TCF.
