IN-HOUSE ROLE - CORPORATE LAWYER - 3+ PQE - OIL & GAS COMPANY

We are working with an industry leading Oil & Gas company who are looking for a motivated and capable lawyer to join their well-established in-house team in Surrey. This will be an initial contract of 8 months with the possibility of becoming permanent.

As part of a small team, this role will primarily involve supporting the downstream procurement and aviation businesses, with particular focus on the Asia-Pacific region. You would be advising on a range of transactional and commercial matters, including JV and M&A transactions, sales and purchase agreements, and entering markets in new countries.

The successful candidate will be UK-qualified, with at least 3 years' PQE and trained at a leading UK law firm. Ideally you will have gained some in-house experience in the energy sector (experience in downstream energy or aviation would be highly desirable but not required). You must be comfortable with commercial negotiation, interacting with clients, and being part of a large corporate organisation. You will be a driven and motivated, keen to learn from the lawyers across the business but also able to work autonomously when required.
