Assistant Legal Counsel

We are recruiting for an Assistant Legal Counsel to join our client's legal team to support their established in-house legal function.

You will receive the opportunity to work on prestigious, well-known, international sporting events and projects. You will work closely alongside the Head of Legal gaining insight into an in-house legal function and experience that will be invaluable for the development of your legal career.

Ideal candidates will have previously gained experience of reviewing and drafting a variety of commercial contracts within an in-house or private practice environment.

The main responsibilities will include the ability to draft, negotiate and prepare all necessary legal contracts and supporting documentation. Reviewing commercial agreements independently and with supervision. Providing general advice and support in respect of service procurement (including review and negotiating of vendor terms)

Qualification as a solicitor or legal executive, ideally with a minimum of 1-2 years PQE (in-house or private practice) with experience or non-qualified paralegal/contract negotiator/manager with at least 2 years' experience of negotiating and drafting a wide range of contracts directly with customers, suppliers and other parties.

You will also be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and relationship management skills coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A willingness to travel and spend several weeks in Australasia in 2017 is also needed.
