Litigation Operations Manager

Our Manchester based client is a leading financial services company. It specialises in consumer debt purchasing, debt management and debt recovery, and its clients include large financial institutions and banks.

Following a recent departure, our client has an opportunity for an experienced debt recovery lawyer / civil litigator to join the in-house litigation team as Litigation Operations Manager. The role is best suited to experienced lawyers / litigators with existing team leadership / supervisory experience, client relationship management experience and solid debt / civil litigation experience.

Operating as the Head of Litigation's right-hand man/woman, the Litigation Operations Manager will be responsible for driving delivery of company objectives, setting the activities of the litigation department, and assuming ownership and management of the company's relationship with its external Legal Services Provider. It is a very hands-on role with a significant operational debt litigation element.

Applicants for the Litigation Operations Manager role should have managed a team of case handlers, be familiar with case management systems, be knowledgeable with regard to the debt industry, and be capable of dealing with all the day-to-day account queries and team management responsibilities. Existing experience working for a Legal Service Provider (debt recovery and litigation) and/or experience of instructing the same is highly desirable. Existing in-house experience is advantageous but is not essential.
