Role overview: The UK Downstream Legal team provides legal advice and support to BP's global aviation business and the Downstream businesses operating within the UK. This portfolio includes Air BP, which operates across 50 countries and over 700 locations worldwide, the UK Fuels business which delivers supply and marketing activities across 1300 retail sites in the UK, Downstream Procurement which is a global function and manages third-party spend for goods, services and materials associated with the operations and maintenance of Downstream businesses, and the Aromatics & Acetyls European business which is responsible for production sites in the UK and Belgium. The combined businesses have a workforce of about 8,000 spanning over 1900 operating sites.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative team working for a Global leader in the Oil and Gas Sector. The work is very diverse and includes a wide range of general commercial and transactional matters. This includes sales and purchase agreements, M&A transactions, new market entry, joint venture and partnership arrangements, and retail and marketing matters to name a few.
To apply for this role you must have 5 years plus pqe, and be a UK qualified Solicitor, ideally with experience in the Oil and Gas Sector.
