Senior Counsel - Competition/Regulatory

The Company

My client is a well known TMT brand, providing services to both B2B and B2C. They are seeking a Senior Regulatory/Competition Lawyer to join their highly regarded team.

The Role

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a strategic role in advising the business on a variety of contentious and non-contentious regulatory matters. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of regulatory litigation and disputes, working closely with the commercial legal team and wider areas of the business.

Your remit will include;

• Being the lead lawyer on various regulatory matters, both contentious and non contentious.
• Representing the business in discussions with regulatory groups and government departments.
• Understanding and relaying regulatory policy changes and formulating the business response to these.
• Advising all areas of the business on contentious and non-contentious telecommunication regulatory matters and providing assistance on competition law matters from time to time.
• Managing the ongoing success of the Legal Competition Law and Regulatory legal team and promoting its profile both internally and externally.

You

The successful candidate will be a UK or Commonwealth qualified Lawyer, with at least 6 years PQE. You will have extensive competition and/or regulatory experience, ideally with a technology focus.
