Our client is looking for a Paralegal to join their expanding team in Southampton. With offices in Southampton, London, Richmond and Lymington, the firm have built a widespread reputation for delivering consistently excellent work. The successful candidate will provide legal advice and assistance to persons under a disability and in the later life sector in the field of Health and Social care. The caseload will be varied and includes: NHS Continuing Care claims, Personal Health budgets, Decision making (health and welfare matters), Carers Assessments, Safeguarding issues, Mental Health aftercare, Disability discrimination cases. Rights to medical treatment, Health and Social Care provision, Housing, etc.

Role requirements:

• Knowledge of Community Care/ Public law (adults and children) and Court of Protection work
• Ideally experience in Mental Health matters and Judicial Review
• Ability to deal with clients in a sensitive and professional way
