Housing Lawyer

Housing Lawyer required to join a local authority based in Essex for an initial 3 month period.

This is a fantastic chance for an experienced Housing Lawyer to join a popular local authority. This opportunity has arisen due to the Council bringing previously outsourced work back in-house.

This position will involve dealing with many housing-related matters, including but not limited to;

• Anti-social behaviour orders
• Rent arrears
• Ground for possession
• Injunctions

The successful candidate will manage a busy caseload alongside conducting advocacy on initial hearings, although barristers will be instructed for complex cases.

Previous experience of working for a local authority would be desirable for this role, although not essential provided that a good knowledge of housing law within the public sector is held.

The office is easy to reach, located within walking distance from the nearest train station.
