The Role
The role holder will principally be responsible for providing post "go live" stabilisation support to the HR function and the GSC and will undertake an impact assessment of the new structure and make recommendations and implement process improvements to maximise efficient ways of working.
The role holder will also provide hands on support to the retained team to ensure the delivery of a high level, accurate service.
Responsibilities
Undertaking a review of the department's new ways of working, making recommendations for change that will improve accuracy, efficiency and stakeholder service. This will include:
- Being a "subject matter expert" and fully supporting the transfer of knowledge to the GSC
- Supporting the Senior HR Assistant and HR Assistant with any escalations regarding work undertaken or feedback, escalating to the line manager where appropriate
- Working with the various HR teams to understand the impact of changes and gaining stakeholder buy-in to changes that support HR delivery
- Making recommendations to the HR Leadership Team, clearly setting out the benefits of suggested changes to stakeholders
- Working closely with the HR Systems Team to ensure that changes maintain data accuracy and, where possible, enhance it
- Providing support to the GSC in clarifying instructions received and liaising with internal clients when needed
- Supporting the Senior HR Assistant in carrying out quality checks on work produced by the GSC and providing feedback as appropriate
- Providing direct support on urgent requests
- Supporting the Senior HR Assistant in compiling reports and workload analysis
- Proactively requesting feedback on work completed from within the business in order to report on the level of support being provided
- Identifying any training gaps/development areas based on work requests being received/sent to the GSC.
Hands on support as required post "Go Live"
Together with the Senior HR Assistant and HR Assistant manage the London-based administrative processes for:
- Joiners and Leavers
- Absence Management
- Recruitment
- HR Systems
- Projects
Skills and Experience
- HR experience is essential, ideally in a shared services environment
- Legal or Professional Services experience preferred but not essential
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise and juggle tasks
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with demanding internal clients
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage time effectively
