THE ROLE
The firm is now seeking an exceptional Privacy / Data Protection lawyer from a leading practice/organisation with at least 4pqe.
With over 100 data protection lawyers across the world, borders are no barrier to the firm providing sophisticated highly practical data protection advice for clients wherever they do business.
Clients include those in both public and private sectors, with particular expertise in media, financial services, technology, pharmaceutical, communications, insurance, retail, transport, health, manufacturing and e-business.
They act on all types of transactions, combining their technical knowledge of data protection, data security, records management, privacy, confidentiality and freedom of information with practical experience and understanding of business needs.
The multi-jurisdictional nature of many of such transactions plays strongly to the firm's unrivalled global network of offices and expertise.
ABOUT YOU
The London team is now looking to recruit a technically excellent lawyer with a minimum of four years' fee earning experience, or equivalent, and specialising in Privacy / Data Protection work.
The main duties and responsibilities will include, but not be restricted to:
Drafting, reviewing and amending a range of Privacy / Data Protection documentation
Planning and delivering projects for clients across international borders and project managing international teams.
The successful candidate will need experience of working in an international environment and managing international clients and project teams along with significant international data transfer experience and a deep understanding of the Technology sector and considerable hi-tech sector expertise
The successful candidate will possess an excellent academic background, developed team working skills, and considerable business development expertise.
A logical and organised approach to managing client files is key, as is the ability to plan and complete projects to the highest standards.
A pro-active, commercial approach to help drive the practice forward is essential.
Although the role is Data Protection / Privacy focussed, some exposure to wider IPT work would be useful.
