The opportunity;

Slater and Gordon are currently looking for a proactive Solicitor, experienced in Personal Injury claimant work and ideally Clinical Negligence, to join our Edinburgh based team.

Responsibilities;

As a Solicitor, experienced in Clinical Negligence work you will be involved in;
* Managing your own, varied caseload and files in-line with National Practice Standards and complying with precedents.
* Drafting court documents, preparing schedules, creating files, proof reading and briefing counsel.
* Drafting Witness statements
* Drafting schedules of Loss
* Instructing Medical experts
* Cost budgeting
* Delegating to more junior fee earners and legal support staff in order to meet required deadlines as well as providing supervision when required
* Marketing and networking initiatives to help develop further business

What we are looking for;

* Ideally you will be a qualified solicitor experienced in claimant Clinical Negligence work, having handled files from initial instruction through to litigation.
* Applicants should also be able to work independently
* Proven ability of nurturing and developing professional networks, both internally and externally would be highly advantageous
* Excellent client care and communication skills are essential
* We also require some who can prioritise and demonstrate good attention to detail when working under pressure
