Litigation NQ, Bristol

This is an interesting vacancy and a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious litigator who is looking to develop their career dealing with big ticket litigation within a top tier firm environment.

Our client is essentially looking for a litigation NQ or junior lawyer accustomed to working with major clients providing regular volume work. Specific property litigation and/or insurance litigation experience is going to be an advantage but this isn't essential and a lot of the work comes from major household name insurers so any experience of working with these sorts of clients is going to be very attractive, including any interest in management information (MI) and/or the reporting to major clients across a portfolio of claims under management. This is a rewarding role dealing with significant litigation, often multi-million pounds claims. The files often involve aspects of property damage for example fire, flood or subsidence etc, and can often involve questions over the potential responsibility of third parties so it is really interesting and challenging work. You will be dealing with your own caseload of around 60 files (approximately half of these will be fairly routine/standard and the rest will be more complex and include indemnity / coverage issues) so you will be given lots of autonomy at an early stage in your career.

The team are more interested in commercial acumen than your academics and this position is as much about your litigation instinct and commerciality as your dry legal knowledge. There are tremendous prospects for career progression as this role will afford opportunities for close client relations with major household name clients and also opportunities to mentor and supervise more junior members within the team as your career progresses.
