The company:
A world leading financial services company are seeking a Counsel, Vice President to join their Global Markets division.
The role:
The successful candidate will provide legal support for the Global Markets division in the EMEA region in respect of senior coverage of the Foreign Exchange business. The candidate will be supervised by the Head of Legal for Global Markets in EMEA or their delegates.
About you:
- UK or equivalent qualified solicitor with relevant PQE experience gained, preferably in the derivatives department of a major law firm and/or in-house position;
- Financial services experience, and specifically ISDA, CSA and FX related experience, in particular experience in emerging markets FX transactions, including non-deliverable forwards;
- Familiarity with electronic exchange platforms and methodologies for FX;
- Knowledge of EMIR, MiFID, MiFID II, MAR and Dodd Frank impact on documentation and procedures;
- Results-oriented with strong project management and execution skills;
- Good interpersonal and client management skills with ability to sustain strong relationships with clients, peers and staff;
- Ability to interact with multiple levels in an organisation and in multiple jurisdictions;
- Keen understanding of market practice impacting the business lines in the relevant jurisdictions and ability to work with business units to achieve practical solutions within applicable regulatory and risk parameters;
