RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY SOLICITOR  

PQE LEVELS – 5-7  yrs pqe

Our clients, a forward-thinking and progressive law firm based in Hertford are currently seeking a full-time Residential Property Solicitor of at least 5-7 yrs PQE. (This is a guideline and will be happy to consider those with less or more years pqe with the pre-requisite experience).

THE FIRM

Our clients are a long established but progressive 11 partner firm based in Hertford. Their fee earners are all specialists in their respective fields and they act for a wide range of commercial, private and public sector clients. They are accredited as an Investor in People (Gold) and hold the Lexcel Practice Management Standard. Their aim is to recruit dynamic, forward thinking individuals who wish to be part of their growth and who share the firm’s core values.

THE ROLE:

The purpose of the role is to work with and support the Partner with the existing caseload and to be actively involved in business development.  The person appointed will have the support of an experienced secretarial team, but should have the ability to be self-sufficient.  There are excellent prospects for the right candidate. 

DUTIES:

In addition to the caseload, the successful candidate will be expected to be actively involved in all aspects of business development, including writing articles and blogs and networking within the local business community and with key referrers.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

A qualified practising Solicitor with at least 5 yrs pqe in Residential Property;

Strong academic record;

Full-time position;

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

A sound knowledge and practical experience of residential property work is essential.  They are looking for someone who is already a Residential Property specialist.

Must have experience of working within private practice;

Experience of local and high net worth property work is desirable but not essential.

A strong verbal communicator;

Ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding of clients’ needs;

Ability to deal with large volume of work, managing conflicting priorities whilst ensuring that every job is handled with the highest level of accuracy and care.

Salary: £Competitive + benefits.

25 days Holiday + public holidays

Hours: 9-5.15 Mon to Thursday 9-5pm Friday
